The year of 2008 is the third anniversary of GMCA. Since the inception of GMCA, we have seen that so many organizations were formed to bring support and healing to autism family. We think it is so encouraing because they brought awarenss to the people. Indeed, many efforts were made to bring new possibility of cure and healing to autism. Yet, we all know that no cure was discovered.
In the midst of this struggling process, we come to know that spiritual formation, direction and renewal of the autism family was neglected. And no single organization was founded to bring spiritual care and support to autism family.
As you know it, GMCA was founded to bring autism family together and to struggle with the issue that the autism family is struggling. Statistics shows that eight out of ten families who are affected by autism experience divorce. Statistics shows that siblings of autistic child experience enormous depression that requires professional counseling. This requires our attention not only to cure for autism itself but also the people who are affected by the force of autism.
GMCA was founded to address this problem and bring answer to it. The rapid growth of autistic child is one of the biggest problems for this nation. And the cause for this epidemic is by far mystery. And we believe there is God behind all this in one way or another. GMCA would like to wrestle with this issue together with the autism family in an attempt to bring cure and healing.
In this year, GMCA has decided to look forward to finding a place of worship and fellowship for autism famliy. We believe that this endeavor will bring autism community together and make an impact upon the community who is not aware of it. And we belive that this will bring autism family together for overcoming any hardship and wining the battle each day.
Please come and join us in helping this endeavor by volunteering, donating, praying and supporting GMCA. Your prayer will lay the foundation. And, your action will truly bring the autism family together and bring healing. May God bless you and your heart and all that you do.
